| Description | Develops, operates and maintains all Town parks and recreation facilities (arenas, pools, tennis courts and playing fields) * responsible for trails, including the Holland River Walkway system * administers bookings of facilities for use by local groups, associations and sports clubs * administers and books evening and weekend activities in shared-use school facilities * provides activities for Newmarket residents including: swimming, skating, dance, fitness, exercise, arts & crafts, sports, theatre, special events, etc., summer day camps and P.A. day activities for children, public swimming and skating * operates the Newmarket Seniors' Meeting Place, the Newmarket Youth and Recreation Centre, the Elman W. Campbell Museum, and the Newmarket Theatre Membership and Pass Cards are available for Track, Gymnasium, Public Skating, Swimming, Fitness Classes, Youth Centre, and Seniors Centre * these cards must be scanned each and every time you visit a facility * offer valuable savings for anyone wishing to use Town facilities for a lower rate per visit * passes are non-transferable and do not give priority entrance to any activities * can be used at the Magna Centre, Ray Twinney Rec Complex, Youth Centre, Seniors Centre, and Gorman Outdoor Pool | |||
