Blood Donors must be meet Health Canada health requirements, be between the ages of 17 and 71 birthday (regular donor), or between 17 and 61 birthday (first-time donor) * to continue donating after the 71 birthday * interested blood donors can contact Canadian Blood Services at 1-888-2-DONATE or visit blood.ca prior to donation for complete eligibility information.; 
 
OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Registry: Join the Canadian Blood Services' OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Registry. If you are between 17 and 50 years of age, willing to donate to any patient needing a stem cell transplant and meet certain health-related criteria you are likely eligible to give * visit onematch.ca for more information and to register
ApplicationBlood Donation at local blood donor clinic: Identification with full name and signature, or full name and photograph required * at the time of donation, you will be asked a number of questions to determine your eligibility (for example: if you have/had one of the following, you must wait before donating: dental treatment (extractions, fillings, cleaning, restoration); for cleaning or filling-until the day after treatment; for extraction, root canal or dental surgery-72 hours provided there is full recovery; a cold, flu or sore throat-full recovery; ear or body piercing or tattooing-6 months * Volunteer opportunities are available at local clinics (sign up online at blood.ca); 
 
OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network: Register online at www.onematch.ca using the online form * a follow-up health assessment will be completed by phone to determine eligibility
