| Description | A fully-sustainable park including: playground equipment that replicates natural patterns in the forest; large pavilion framing the forest; amphitheatre backing onto forest setting; residential windmill (also commonly referred to as a wind turbine); solar powered lighting; permeable paving (allows for water infiltration on paths); succession forest (grid of trees that replicates the succession of forest growth with an educational component); recycled granular base for paved areas; low maintenance grass; collection of all water run-off from the park site; drumlin shaped berms (replicating the geological formation in which the park is situated on); Trail Head entrance--the first 0.5 kilometres of the proposed 6 kilometres of trails in the north west core natural heritage area (stretching from Davis Drive to Newmarket’s northern boundary) | |||
