| Description | Offers practical programs for women who want to start a business, start or re-start a career, or gain workplace experience * programs focus on personal assessment and readiness, viability of business ideas, mentoring and support through community partners, and access to a range of skills development workshops Enterprising Careers : an employment readiness program to assist women with their search for meaningful and sustainable employment * working in collaboration with existing employment programs in the region, women can take the first steps toward becoming "job ready" by assessing their skills, making decisions about career paths, or furthering their education * through a combination of individual consultation and group sessions, Enterprising Careers connects women to the resources available in York Region and to each other Enterprising Business Incubation: a program of assistance and support for entrepreneurs in developing new ventures * nurtures young businesses, helping them to survive and grow during the start-up period when they are most vulnerable * provides hands-on training, mentoring, networking, and coaching * women in this program will be encouraged to explore all options to support their business | |||
