Christmas in King works in partnership with the King Township Food Bank to bring requested items including gifts to those struggling to make ends meet. Registration is done either through the Food Bank, or by referral from others, such as a school principal or member of the clergy. You do not have to be registered with the Food Bank to register for this Christmas in King. More information is available on the website: http://kingtownshipfoodbank.ca/index.html. Most of the churches in King and a number of businesses and individuals support the effort by ‘adopting’ families, donating funds or offering ‘in kind’ assistance such as Christmas trees, food, decorations and delivery assistance.
