DescriptionProvides income and entrepreneurial support during the process of developing and launching a business * includes business skill development with experienced trainers and consultants Through the Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program in the Markham region, the centre provides entrepreneurial support for start up businesses * also provides business start ups with one-on-one attention and resources (internet, consulting etc) * the OSEB program is not a business loan programComprehensive employment and job search services * assessment of skills, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about careers and occupations, local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training, work experience * help in maintaining employment * information and referral to other employment and community services

Second Career Program -- skills training and financial support for laid-off workers

Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program (OSEB) -- income and entrepreneurial support during business development and launch

Youth Employment Fund -- job placements providing entry point to long term employment * help with costs such as transportation and tools * incentives to employers to help cover cost of wages and training

For employers: Canada-Ontario Job Grant -- financial support for individual employers to purchase training for their employees * available to small, medium and large businesses planning to deliver short-term training for existing or new employees

MeetingsOrientation every Friday at 9:30 am * please pre-register and talk to your employment advisor before attending
