Working as a key part of the palliative health care team, to provide companionship,practical assistance through our Visiting Volunteer program,Oasis Day Program, Caregiver relief, Bereavement support and Art Therapy to individuals and their families coping with a life threatening illness. 
 
Oasis Day Program provides a safe environment for social interaction and activities that illness can often restrict and allows for valuable respite time for caregivers.

Are you a student looking to fulfill your community involvement hours? Are you creative and work well independently? We are looking for imaginative students who can develop a program based on their own special talents that they could turn into a library program for children.  
 
Some suggested topics might be drama, storytelling, music, computers, crafts, public awareness of an information session on a topic that is important to you and that you are knowledgeable about such as a hobby, sport, or other topic that is of interest to you personally.
Lifestyle Resource Team [ More info ]   
Our lifestyle program can improve a clients outlook, coping skills and sense of purpose in life. Lifestyle volunteers offer hands on opportunities to explore creative arts, such as painting, quilting, music, journaling, scrap booking, gardening drumming, photography, crafts and more. These activities and complementary therapies support our clients well being by providing yoga, meditation, visualization, native healing, Tai Chi, therapeutic touch, massage therapy and more.
