We would love you to come and help with our productions. With 12 shows per year we are looking for sewers to help us make our shows a success!
Council of Advisory Teens (C.A.T.S.) [ More info ]
The Council will meet once a month to work on projects that will help shape the programs and services offered to teens by the Newmarket Public Library. Projects could involve program suggestions and development, book displays, web site development, participation in community events, promotional material development, contests, and collection recommendations. This position is for 13 - 18 year old students. This program runs from October to June. Come out and have a say in your Library.
Fundraiser [ More info ]
We are looking for volunteers who care deeply about abandoned and abused cats and kittens. Volunteers could host their own fundraisers (after getting approval) and donate the money to our North Toronto Cat Rescue shelter where we can grow, educate and help many animals. We also require volunteers to work in our NO KILL, NO CAGE shelter as well as raising funds to ensure its success.
Concert Committee Members [ More info ]
Classical music lovers are needed to help with the organization of the three scheduled concerts. Duties include, the organization and implementing the promotional material to make the concert happen. Meetings are set by the members at a mutually convenient time.
Community Event Planning [ More info ]
The Woman's Support Network is a non profit organization that will give you the opportunity to engage with our organization and assist with the planning and implementation of our community events. Some of the events include: Go the Distance 30K Walk in June, Take Back the Night in September and Sisters in Spirit in October.
Public Education Volunteers [ More info ]
We are looking for a outgoing volunteer to promote and educate the public about programs and our association which promotes the accessibility of recreational programs for the disabled in York Region. This person should have a friendly personality and want to encourage every individual to pursue recreational activities in their community.
