Description (Service) Helps people with disabilities who are in financial need pay for living expenses 
Income support financial support paid monthly to help with cost of food, clothing and housing * the program includes benefits, like drug coverage and vision care, for clients and their eligible family members 
Employment support help finding and keeping a job, preparing for a job and advancing career

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up an Ontario resident, be in financial need ((as determined by your ODSP caseworker) who is a member of a prescribed class meets definition of a "person with a disability" as defined under the Ontario Disability Support Program Act

"person with a disability" "Under the act, a person with a disability is someone who has a substantial mental or physical disability that: is continuous or recurrent; is expected to last for a year or more; significantly restricts their ability to work, care for themselves, or take part in community life , and impairment, its duration and restrictions have been verified by an approved health care professional"

prescribed class A person who, on May 31, 1998, was a recipient, or the spouse of a recipient, of benefits under specific case classes under the Family Benefits Act, 1992
person who is 65+ years old and not eligible for Old Age Security (OAS)
People who receive either Canada pension disability plan benefits or Quebec pension plan disability benefits
former resident of a Schedule 1 facility under the former Development Service Act (DSA) who ceased to be resident on or after June 1, 1998
person who is already determined eligible for services and supports and funding under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008 or Persons residing in one of website's listed health care or licensed homes
Application If already Ontario Works client: financial need already established - speak to your caseworker to apply for ODSP income support * can start the application process up to six months before 18th birthday * fill out Disability Determination Package with health care provider 
Apply online or contact local Ontario Disability Support Program office, will ask for specific documents that show household’s housing and shelter-related costs and any money coming into your household, as well as the value of assets belonging to members of the household
