Description (Service) Service club for men and women * projects include Annual Lions Music Festival, Annual Santa Fund, Annual Breakfast for a Loonie at Town of Newmarket's Winterfest * accepts used eyeglasses for re-use for those who cannot afford vision correction * support Camp Kirk, Camp Huronda, Camp Dorset, Inn From the Cold, Lions Foundation Guide Dogs * provides vision screening in all Newmarket public elementary schools.;

Catch the Ace ticket progressive lottery fundraiser * draws continue until Ace of Spades found

Reading Action program family skills class for children and their parents * Lions visit kindergarten classes in public schools and provide children with choice of book to take home

Effective speaking Student participants grades 4-12 deliver 5-7 min prepared speech as well as 3 min impromptu speech * light lunch and celebration follows

Dates effective speaking contest Trinity United Church the first Saturday in March
