Description (Service) Provides emergency and non-emergency medical response to patients, including patient assessment, life-saving treatment and monitoring, and safe and timely transport to the appropriate facility for continuing medical care;
Medical Standby businesses and community organizations can request dedicated medical support for their event(s) * Paramedics will provide medical attention for any illness or injury that may occur * for large events can bring rehab trailer, a gator and bicycles to navigate larger crowds Community programs and education hosts events that are open to the public for community engagement and a chance to learn more about the equipment, vehicles and service provided by paramedics * invite paramedics to teach groups of 20 or more about a variety of health and safety topics including CPR awareness, alcohol and risk related trauma, safe medication use, and senior’s health * presentations are educational and can be tailored to audience;
Ambulance Patient Record Release patients and their lawyers or insurance companies can request records of paramedics interactions with patients * must have signed consent of patient;
Automated external defibrillator (AED) Registration collects information on locations of AEDs within York Region * information is shared with 911 dispatchers so they can let callers know closest AED * by registering AED, will be informed of any changes in AED and CPR protocols by one of our Lead Paramedics
