Description (Service) Operates a distribution system in the service area approved by the Ontario Energy Board * supplies hydro electric power for the Town of Newmarket and the Township of Tay 
Financial Assistance Program: an energy assistance program for qualifying low-income consumers behind on their electricity bills * emergency relief to avoid service disconnection, the program covers some of the costs incurred when the electricity bill goes unpaid * provides one-time assistance to deal with costs typically associated with missed electricity bill payments such as late payment charges, collection notices and disconnection fees * it may cover up to fifty per cent of the arrears on a bill * payments are credited directly to the consumer’s account with Newmarket Hydro * eligibility is assessed at The Northridge Community Church of the Salvation Army, 905-895-6276
