Description (Service)Works in partnership with York Regional Police, O.P.P. and Fire Services to provide 24 hour emotional support and crisis response to persons victimized by crime or tragic circumstance * programs include on-scene response, telephone crisis response, community collaboration, support link * domestic violence * family occurrences * sexual assault * assault * robbery * fire * break & enter * homicide * sudden death * traffic accidents * property crimes/damage * criminal harassment *fatal motor vehicle accident
Hours24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Meetings3rd Wednesday night of each month (attendance is mandatory)

EligibilityAges: 21 year(s) and up 
Volunteers: people aged 21 and up, strong empathetic interest in helping persons in crisis * Intense Training Program offered - 60 hours of Tier 1 training * Criminal Record Check & positive references required
