DescriptionHelps Ontarians find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information and referrals to all Employment Ontario Funded Programs including Second Career Program for laid-off workers and the Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program (OSEB), which offers income and entrepreneurial support during the process of developing and launching a business * information about, and referral to, other community services and supports

Youth Employment Fund -- a $195 million initiative to provide 25,000 youth in all regions of the province with an entry point to long term employment through job placements that offer the chance to learn work skills while earning income * the fund will be delivered through the existing Employment Service (ES)

Incorporates services previously provided through Job Connect, Employment Assistance Services (EAS), Employment Resource Centres and other programs * Summer Jobs Service program remains separate for the time being

Second Career -- support to recently laid-off unemployed workers who require long-term training for employment in high-skill, high-demand occupations Comprehensive employment and job search services * assessment of skills, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about careers and occupations, local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training, work experience * help in maintaining employment * information and referral to other employment and community services

Second Career Program -- skills training and financial support for laid-off workers

Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program (OSEB) -- income and entrepreneurial support during business development and launch

Youth Employment Fund -- job placements providing entry point to long term employment * help with costs such as transportation and tools * incentives to employers to help cover cost of wages and training

For employers: Canada-Ontario Job Grant -- financial support for individual employers to purchase training for their employees * available to small, medium and large businesses planning to deliver short-term training for existing or new employees

Youth Employment Fund -- Youth 15 to 29 years who are residents of Ontario, unemployed and not participating in full time education or training can access assisted services * additional tools and supports for short term training and employment preparation may be available to youth identified by employers

Assisted services (such as supported job search, job matching and placement, job retention services) -- people who are unemployed and out of school

Employers can get help in identifying their human resource skill requirements, matching of position/workplace needs to participants' skills, capabilities, interests and experience, and support for developing on-the-job training plans and monitoring of placements to support success and retention
