Description (Service) | Electrical energy distributor * connects customers to electrical power, reads meters, provides account administration, and maintains property, stations and easements used by Hydro One; Safety programs children's electrical safety education (elementary students up to 13 years old) program is designed to educate children about ways to protect themselves from dangers posed by electrical facilities and encourage the safe use of electricity * download materials from site or contact for more information; PowerPlay grants program supports and enhances children’s sports and recreation facilities in municipalities and registered charities where HydroOne is the local electricity supplier * must be serving youth within an indigenous community; Leonard S. (Tony) Mandamin Scholarship granted annually to First Nations, Métis and Inuit post-secondary students * recipients granted a financial award in the amount of $5,000 and those eligible may have an opportunity to complete a paid developmental work term; Women in Engineering Scholarship 10 Scholarships of $5,000 each are available for women studying engineering at the undergraduate level in accredited Ontario universities * Women receiving scholarship will also have the opportunity to engage in a paid developmental work term; William Peyton Hubbard Award granted annually to two black students (where possible, one male and one female) studying power industry related disciplines at a recognized Ontario university or community college * recipients will be offered a work term/summer employment at Hydro One |
