Description (Service) Secondary school teacher federation * collective agreement negotiation for members * mental health services for members * produces resources for new teachers, health and safety information and various curriculum packages and classroom supports for use in Ontario classrooms * group discounts, subsidies, grants and scholarships for members;
Gay Straight Members Alliance GSMA meets monthly and provides a supportive, safe environment for District 16 OSSTF members who are gays,lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered, questioning (GLBTQ) ;

Provides certification system for members, members apply and are placed into 1 of 4 possible groups, group determines their salary

Student Achievement Awards awards contest for secondary student writers and artists, eight provincial winners receive cash award of $1000 and brought to be honoured at the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation annual general meeting
