Do you have a flair for merchandising and a passion for great customer service? Do you roam the aisles of the hardware store just for fun, and the words “some assembly required” thrill you? Yes? Then our ReStore Volunteer opportunity is for you! 
 
Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area is currently recruiting volunteers for our ReStores. A ReStore is a retail store concept that sells new and gently used donated home furnishings and renovation materials at 50-80% off the original retail price. ReStore proceeds support Habitat’s mission of helping working, low-income families build a brighter future through affordable homeownership. 
 
Position Requirements: 
• A “can-do” attitude 
• Provide superb customer service skills 
• Assist with pricing and merchandising, product assembly and repair and donation drop offs 
• Attend all necessary Habitat for Humanity training sessions  
• Ability to work with a team or independently

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
• Welcome guests as they arrive and thank them as they depart on behalf of JHSYR 
• Customer counts during Bingo sessions and document in logbook 
• Circulate the gaming floor to provide customer service 
• Assist Bingo players as needed with gaming technology basics 
• Assist gaming staff with promotional events, handouts, and ballots 
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
 
• Attend 3 hour shift once every month

The Salvation Army Thrift Store (130 Davis Dr., Newmarket, ON)
Volunteers are needed to hang clothes and linens, organize racks of clothes, bring in donated goods, assist unloading of truck deliveries as needed, and generally keep the store clean by sweeping and dusting as needed. Person must be in good health and able to do some lifting. Please drop in or call to see if we are needing help each day.
