6 hour fundraising event that brings you and your community together to celebrate life and fight cancer.  
 
Relay for Life celebrates survivors, remembers those who we have lost or is currently battling cancer and promise to continue to fight back against the disease.  
 
As with all of our events, volunteers are at the core of organizing this amazing event. We need volunteers to assist us with our parking early Friday evening and early Saturday morning for clean up and tear down.

Our team is looking for reliable, energetic, committed volunteers who can work independently to assist the School Area Coordinator in the effective delivery of our school fund raising programs; Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart. A main focus for these volunteers is on the independent delivery of our heart health awareness presentations– Heart Healthy Kids Presentations. Ideally, for this position we are looking for a volunteer who is able to commit 1 or 2 days a week for the duration of the school year. Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel around York Region is necessary. Teaching/experience working in schools is an asset!

This role will support our schools “Jump Rope for Heart” and “Hoops for Heart” campaigns, being on site at the school to help the school coordinator run the event (run the various stations, distribute prizes, etc.). We are looking for people who are very outgoing and mature. You need access to a vehicle and will travel to the schools. The schedule is anywhere from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and we need a commitment of 1 to 2 days per week between end of January through to June. There will be a training session in early to mid January which will be mandatory attendance (details to be advised).
