We are looking for a group facilitator that has personal bereavement experience to:  
 
* Provide one-on-one support to bereaved individuals and families as referred by BFOYR staff 
* Assist with the completion of one-on-one intakes for individuals entering BFOYR closed groups 
* Co-facilitate closed support groups according to the agenda and guidelines supplied by BFOYR 
* Assist with scheduled support sessions

We are looking for 2 students from each school in the Holland River Community. If you are interested in becoming the ambassador for your school with the Canadian Cancer Society please apply today. 
You will help advertise and recruit your fellow students as volunteers for our Daffodil campaign in April, Relay For Life in June, and Pink Ribbon in October. This is considered a leadership position within the Society.

In the client's home, and when appropriate, out in the community.
Working as a key part of the health care team, to provide companionship, practical assistance and caregiver relief to persons who are living with a life-threatening illness. To provide non-medical, short-term respite care in the client's home.

Lions clubs International has appx 1.4 million members world wide in 208 countries and there are over 48 thousand clubs. 
Volunteering is the back bone of our community here in Newmarket Ontario. If you are interested in helping others, solving community issues, helping people in need and meeting new people, having fun and making an impact at home and around the world, the North Newmarket Lions Club is the volunteer organization for you! 
 
Club members use their time and talents to provide hands on assistance, to enhance the lives of those in need in our community. This organization is for men and women alike. Our club has many lady members who are already Lions. You can also join with your spouse or life partner and receive a discount on the membership fees. 
 
If you would like to pursue a leadership role, or would just like to lend a helping hand, Lions membership offers extensive opportunities for the kind of volunteer experience you desire. A side benefit is that you'll feel good when you go to sleep at night. 
 
You will have many opportunities to work on projects that interest you and to undertake the leadership roles of your choice. We are always looking for good leaders, with good ideas!
