Beyond Abilities Centre
BAC offers programs and services to individuals with disabilities. We are looking for volunteers with skills and experience that can help improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. 
 
Directors attend BAC meetings, usually 5-6 meetings a year, as well as other fundraising events. 
 
Committee members attend meetings the second Tuesday of every month, most of them are via-teleconference and usually 3-4 meetings per year are at the BAC office at 6:00 p.m.  
 
Individuals will also be expected to volunteer in events held by BAC: workshops, golf tournaments, fundraising events and open houses to promote our programs and services.

Are you looking for volunteer hours and/or unique volunteer experiences? 
Girls on the Go is looking for female volunteers for our nonprofit program.  
 
This program is open to girls (15+) who are living with intellectual disabilities. Each week, we come together and participate in a variety of fun activities, such as: cooking, crafts, movies, local excursions, and more.  
 
This ongoing position is ideal for individuals who are committed, responsible, and patient.

To provide ongoing meaningful feedback to the children and youth, and to the Homework Club Coordinator and staff 
To engage children and youth in educational activities and games when their homework is completed 
To be responsible and consistent with meeting times of the Homework Club

For our Outreach programs we look for energetic, outgoing, and confident young adults, as the role is a very social one. Other pre-requisites are maturity, dependability, responsibility and empathy. The volunteer will socialize with the participants, encourage and help them with a variety of recreational activities, cheer them on, and generally assist staff as needed.
Safehaven Project for Community Living
We are looking for outgoing and friendly volunteers to provide recreation and leisure opportunities for our participants and/or provide general support to the day-day operations.
