The fundraising committee is looking for additional members who would like to help the AHS grow and take part in planning some of this year’s exciting events. 
 
- Attend meetings and to support the organization through a variety of events 
 
- Give support through spreading awareness of AHS and Hillary Houseand its place in the community. 
 
- Provide input and guidance into development of various fundraising campaigns such as planned giving and the annual appeal, as well as events fundraising 
 
- Help to solicit funds and/or in-kind donations from local businesses for various events and sponsorship opportunities 
 
- Individuals with experience in fundraising, building community partnerships or public relations would be welcomed as would those with related professional skills and experience. 
 
- Provide support for our annual fundraising gala: The Hillary House Ball

To provide administrative support to the Hospice team  
 
Key Position Responsibilities: Greet Visitors and escort them to their desired location

We are looking for volunteers willing to connect by phone with patients newly referred for orthopaedic surgery to share a real-world patient view of what to expect from their treatment. Volunteers are matched based on the patient-clients’ needs and preferences: type of surgery, age, gender, language, location and more, for as many commonalities as possible.

The Team Captain is responsible for recruiting and coordinating a team of volunteers to implement the phone drives and ensure the team has the information and support they require to be effective. This position acts as a liaison between CNIB, volunteers and stakeholders.  
 
Tasks vary on event requirements; however, this position will always include:  
• Assist with team recruitment, selection, training and recognition  
• Conduct regularly scheduled follow up (calls or emails) with volunteers; report any issues or concerns immediately to supervisor.  
• Be available to volunteer team to provide support and guidance in their role  
• Responsible for managing all the in kind and cash donations during the event.  
• Report on volunteer hours and other event measurables.  
• Provide training and on-site assistance to the Event Team Members.
