We are looking for a group facilitator that has personal bereavement experience to:
* Provide one-on-one support to bereaved individuals and families as referred by BFOYR staff
* Assist with the completion of one-on-one intakes for individuals entering BFOYR closed groups
* Co-facilitate closed support groups according to the agenda and guidelines supplied by BFOYR
* Assist with scheduled support sessions
* Provide one-on-one support to bereaved individuals and families as referred by BFOYR staff

Bereaved Families of Ontario, York Region
The Professional Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly, not including the summer months.
Purpose: To create a vision for the future of BFO and augment the self-help model of BFO with professional expertise in the area of bereavement.
Outline of Responsibilities/Tasks:
To review needs and establish programs to meet the needs of the bereaved in the community.
To support/develop bereaved facilitators through the Facilitator Training Program.
To recruit and interview qualified volunteers/facilitators for current programs.
To assist in providing public education in the area of bereavement.
To screen and support appropriate research in the field of bereavement.
To be a resource to the bereavement volunteer facilitators and the staff.
To provide written document regarding status and direction of P.A.C.
PAC should approve in principle BFO’s goals and programs(self-help model)
PAC will appoint from its members, sub committees to facilitate the successful function of the committee if needed.
