• To provide a caring and nurturing environment for children from birth to 5 years while their moms attend programs at Rose of Sharon. 
• To play, sing and have fun with the children. 
• To work as part of a team with the Child Development Center staff. 
• Able to commit to a minimum of 2 hrs. per week  
• Physically able to participate in the Child Development Center: holding babies, feeding babies, able to get down to the child’s level  
• Ability to multi task  
• Flexible, adaptable and approachable  
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality  
• Preferably female, min. 18 years of age.

Ensure young mothers and their child(ren), and/or a young mother who is expecting, are able to access programs provided by the Rose of Sharon in Newmarket.  
 
Pick up a young mother (and her child(ren)) in southern York Region, drive her to Rose of Sharon in Newmarket to attend program, and then drive her safely back home after program.  
 
Drivers are particularly needed for Markham, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan.  
 
Young mothers will typically be in program for 2.5 hours during which time the driver is welcome to come in and volunteer in other capacities, or simply return after that time period to pick up their rider.
